The little things
of brihana25

In Weihnachstzeit it seems never a shortage and calls for donations or to give relief. Whether this is the Salvation Army at Wal * or a "gift tree" in your church or at work, it always seems to be an easy way to charitable organizations to donate something. And it also seems as if this is big in Weihnachstzeit readiness. Everyone is willing to give at least a little something.

But the need for donations does not disappear after the Christmas season. And the desire to help should not disappear. The donations are after December perhaps less obvious, but they are always there. You just have to know where. This entry inspired to give us all hope our willingness to receive year-round maintained.

WalMart, despite all its disadvantages, a place where you can easily donate to an organization that really deserves it - the Children's Miracle Network . I have their donation boxes in each Wal-Mart, where I was ever found anywhere situated. Sometimes they are simple, blue container, but mostly it is a Kind of game (to which children feel immediately drawn). Since there are aquariums, filled with water and shot glasses, which you can watch as the small change falls down and tried to land in one of the glasses. Or is there a transparent hub of plastic, which invites you to the fact that you are small change in one of two Münzeinwürfe plugged in and then watching as it rotates in a circle until it finally on the other coins (and inexplicably always bills) on the bottom drops.

gas stations and grocery stores are another place where you can donate to a charity. In the U.S., CircleK, Mac's and Clark (and all the shops, belonging to Couche-Tard, as far as I know), along with March of Dimes . Twice a year they have $ 1-actions for which they sell in the spring of paper lanterns and pumpkins in the fall. Other stores also have other actions, from flea markets of chili cook-off up to cake sales. And all proceeds go directly to March of Dimes . In addition to non-profit organizations offer

petrol stations are also a good opportunity for people in their own community to help. It is almost always a glass or a can on the counter with the cashier, and it takes only a second throw in some change. You can help people who suddenly astronomical hospital bills face because they were sick or injured, people whose house is burned down or people who need a little help to make ends meet.

Man, the list can continue forever. Every McDonalds has a donation box for the Ronald McDonald House organization, in addition to their other regular activities. Dollar General has donation boxes at their cash for an education initiative. Many grocery stores have donation boxes for soup kitchens or Caring and Sharing , so you can simply buy a few extra doses similar barren and immediately objected.

How much you give is not important. Whom you give it too not as long as you believe it serves a good purpose. What really matters is that her willingness to give - which is so present in the Christmas season - all year to get upright.

[* translator's note: The examples here Brihana enumerates all right are U.S. specific, but there are similar actions and appeals for funds around the world. Your sure to find something similar in your area. There are, for example, "Weihnachsttrucker" Antenne Bayern, boxes for food donations for the local animal shelter or donation boxes for SOS Children's Villages and other nonprofit organizations. ]

minionregion8 @ 2011-01-25T17:45:00

Les Petites Choses

(adding the translation: The example given in this post relate to the United States but may provide ideas for people in other countries)

We don has never felt more donations to causes and to support that during the holiday season. Whether a volunteer from the Hi Amée to WalMart or "giving tree" at your church or workplace, it seems there is always a simple and available to give to a charity. And it seems that during the holiday season, when the spirit of Christmas is stronger, almost everyone is willing to give even a little.

But the need does not go away once the holiday ended, and the desire to help should not do either. The act of donation may become less visible after December, but it's still there, if you know where to look. This post will inspire us, I hope to keep this spirit of sharing all throughout the year.

WalMart is an easy place where you can give a really worthy charity: The Children's Miracle Network. I could see their donations in each box to WalMart where I went. Sometimes it's just a blue box, but more often it is a kind of game (that kids love). There's a fishbowl filled with water Goblets, and watch our money flow and try to achieve one of the Goblet. There is also a "roulette" that prompts you to run your money in one of two piles of coins, and watch it turn until it finally fell on the pile of coins (and inexplicable dollar bill).

Service stations and higher cigarettes are another place to give deserving causes. USA, CircleK, Mac's and Clark (all stores owned by Couche-Tard, that I know) are affiliated with the March of Dimes. Twice a year they have $ 1 donations by selling paper balloons in the spring and pumpkins in autumn. Different stores have different events Also, the fair-on the bake sale and all profits go directly to the March of Dimes.

In addition to works of national charities, service stations are a good way to help people in your community. You can almost always find a jar or a coffee mug on the counter next to the body and it only takes a few seconds to leave your money. You can help people with astronomical medical bills and unforeseen because of illness or injury, people whose homes have burned, or people who just need a little help to get by.

The list is long. McDonalds still has boxes for donations to the Ronald McDonald Houses, in addition to their usual collections. Dollar General has boxes on all their desks. Many stores have places for donations to soup kitchens, so you can buy some more cans and drop them there.

What you give does not matter who you give either, unless you think it's worth sentence. What matters most is that we continue to live the spirit of sharing, so active during festive all year round

What Is Spondylitis In Dogs

French Translation for Lisa's blog January, 20th 2011

Things looming

Hi everyone

I have to believe me that this is my first post in 2011. It's been three weeks since we started the new year but I think we should still take time to look ahead and think that this year may mean to us and where we're all together.

I look to 2011 with great hope, my dear friends, because I think the little things that we do will have impact. They are like ricochets into the water. They look small at first, then see how they grow in water, travel and extend the distance. Our

Acts of kindness are the same. When offers of kindness to someone, it ricochets. This person feel better, grow, and transmits it to turn around her, and extends the circle and it makes the world a little better for everyone. And if enough people did? It has the power to affect our world in a positive way, and it's very powerful.

Let our year of 2011. Let's make this year one that promises to ourselves and to others that we will make an effort to be nice. Join us, Help a Random Act. Submit an official act.

order that the proposal for official acts is simpler, we now accept your proposals throughout the year. You can submit an idea at any time. Even if you think of an act for the summer in the middle of winter, you can move it, just specify in the description.

We modified the proposal submission form to include new information and we turned it into PDF. You can and complete the online form, print it and send it to us at once. As we learned during our last round of action, we need to know more about the people who propose actions to make the process easier for everyone. If you submit a proposal, you will be asked to provide this additional information. If your proposal is selected for an official act, we will ask you to sign all forms before one engages with you to your act.

Cette année promet

tant de choses, et j'espère les voir avec vous tous se realiser. Ensemble, on peut faire de la meilleure année 2011!

What the future holds.

Hello everyone,

it is hard to believe that this is my first entry in 2011. It is now three weeks since we all have ushered in the new year. But I thought we still could again take the time to look ahead and ponder on what might mean this year for us and where it leads us together.

I look hopefully to 2011, my dear friends, because I will believe that the little things that we do, have an effect. They are like waves on the water. You will see initially not look like much, but you realize how far they spread and how they can reach distant shores.

Our selfless deeds have the same effect. If we show kindness to someone real, is spreading like the waves. The person feels better, more compassionate and gives to others in an endless cycle of helpfulness that makes the world a little better for us all. And if enough of us join? Then we have the power to change our world in a positive way.

Let's make 2011 our year. Let's make it to the year in which we promise ourselves and each other that we consciously try to be friendly. Includes you to us. Take a Random Act part. even an official Act Beat before.

To propose to make use of official acts easier to accept such proposals now on the year. You can always submit a proposal, even if you middle of winter comes an idea for the summer. Simply listed the in the description.

We have the form for submitting a proposal was amended slightly in order to integrate other information and it is now available in PDF format. You can fill out and print the form online, and send also the same. In the last round of Acts we realized that we need to know more about those who submit a proposal to the ganen process to make easier for us. If you submit a proposal, we ask that you sign the application before we push your Act further.

This year promises so much, and I look forward to all the joy and love to see that it holds with you all. Together we can make 2011 the best year so far.

[FF / Drabble] I love the way you lie

Author: Yukimura

Lyrics taken from: Eminem feat. Rihanna – Love the way you lie

I love the way you lie

Another look from your beautiful blue eyes, followed by a sweet kiss. The last one. No words needed, because I knew it without having a need to hear them. You turn around, donating me another smile. It feels like thousands of slivers piercing through my body. „I will never forget you.“ Those words I whispered so softly to you during the last night that was never supposed to end. Being realistic we both knew that time is unstopable. Time was always against us from the very beginning.

//Just gonna stand there and watch me burn//

If we ever see each other again? We don’t know, but most likely not. I try not to think about it with that bitterness that overflows me every now and then when I watched you during the last days. Softly you step back, smiling. But I know you are just putting on a show. And it is fine with me. For you it must be even harder, because at least I can stay here in this world you learned to love as much as I do.

//That is alright because I like the way it hurts//

You raise your hand, waving to me and the others. Even though your lips are not forming any words I know what you ought to say. It is exactly what I feel that very moment. We should not feel sorry that is has ended, we should be thankful that it ever happened. I know that. But I can’t help to feel tears raising inside me, while watching you walking up to your siblings. And then...

//Just gonna stand there and hear me cry//

... you are gone. And I am alone. Not literary, because I am surrounded by so many people who put all their hopes and trust in me. And yes, I will try as hard as I can to be a good king. Just like I promised you in our last night. That very last night when I heard you whisper those three words that mean the world to me.

/ / That is alright because I love the way you lie / /

But even though I am here without you inside my heart and that fact makes me a lonely person ...

Electro Songs Like Reverside

French Translation for Lisa's blog December 26th 2010

Hi everyone!

Well, it's Christmas here in the U.S., and the administrative team and I want to take a moment today to think back to the incredible year that we have had. To begin, I'll just take a moment to tell you that our Head of Communication, Tricia Skinner, has left for other counties. Trish has been an important member of Team Random Acts, and we are sorry to lose her, but as you can see, she is currently busy:

"I believe in Random Acts of mission, to conquer the world one act of kindness at a time. Although I no longer part of the administrative team, I remain what I have always been, ie supporter of an association that made a difference in people's lives . For now, However, I have a Masters to finish a baby to raise a deaf puppy to train, and a book to write. Busy? Just a little! I'm in the corner like a cheerleader for Random Acts, and I've always been an admirer of Misha Collins, so honestly, not much will change. I cherish all the friendships born with this association. See you soon. " Tricia Skinner

I hope you join us in wishing him the best in the opportunity offered to her.

This year was unlike any other in my life. I met the most amazing, beautiful, fearless, gentle and loving during the past 12 months. We have embarked together on a journey with a mission Simp and strong, whose impact literally changed my life and that of many others. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world you all know.

Thank our supporters. Without you all, none of this would be possible. Your energy, creativity, support and love we carry. thank you to The Art Department, Inc.. Board of Directors. Without their partnership, encouragement and help, we would be unable to have that title and to conquer the world one act of kindness at a time.

Thanks our Regional Representatives. These few people live everywhere in the world and they work so hard on behalf of Random Acts, and yet none of them has never met, nor any of the administrative team (except perhaps Tracy). They do a fantastic job of coordinating all our actions at a local level and are the unsung heroes of the association. Several of them are lucky enough to have assistants and / or translators remarkable that help them accomplish all the tasks of coordination in the regions active. As a person, Representatives, Assisi and Translators are awesome.

Thanks to our creative, artistic and creative videographers. They give life to our actions so that everyone can share them, and they do it in a very limited time. A huge thank you to the forum moderators who keep it safe for all our supporters. These people keep an eye on everything that's going to be a good time together. They are friendly and fabulous! Above all, I trust them to take care of us during our discussions.

I want to personally thank the administrative team. Each of the works for Random Acts of a functional association. I consider them dear friends of confidence. No words can describe how much they matter to me. No word except perhaps love, faith, loyalty, devotion and affection.

And last but certainly not least, I want to thank my co-founder Misha Collins. His entrance into my life was phenomenal. It started with a twit of a celebrity to another person, and grew into an extraordinary collaboration. He gave me a gift to get into this trip. This trip was his time and energy. It has not stopped giving so generously and gave her confidence, inspiration and advice, to name it. It is a real blessing in my life.

Nothing could take place at Random Acts without you reading this message, and all those mentioned in this post. Thank you from my heart.

Lisa Walker, Co-Founder and Director

2010 was a sacred year for me: I work for the same employer for 10 years, I celebrated my 30 years (finally as old as I've always felt), and Random Acts was born.

I'm incredibly proud of everything we accomplished this year. I made incredible friends (some less incredible than others humMarielhum * *) and I learned a lot.

Yes, 2010 was a hell of a year (and more it ends with a zero!), And yet I'm sure the best is yet to come .

Jesse Sleik, Deputy Director.

2010 was a difficult year for me in many ways, made with the entry of Random Acts in my life I remember as a wonderful thing. The friendships formed and the things we accomplished together transformed me. And this is nothing compared to all the wonderful supporters of Random Acts, which have never ceased to amaze me by their kindness and generosity of mind. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and I can not tell you how much I'm looking forward to seeing what 2011 will bring.

Jenny Ackerman, Head of Development

This past year was filled with people and experiences I will never forget and never regret. My involvement in Random Acts was One of these experiences and I am extremely grateful to all those who have done something memorable. Thank you very much, and I wish you all a wonderful holiday season.

Mariel Concepcion, Artistic Manager and Head of the forum on

I'm supposed to talk about 2010, "the last year, but I can not find words for it. Randon Acts is certainly the association most incredible I've ever worked with, and I still can not believe that I am one.

I met some of the most extraordinary people I know, and I am more than honored to be able to call friends. Whether you're in a meeting or just laugh together, my life has been incredibly enriched by their presence. I witnessed how including people around the world, just like me, their passion transormé into something extraordinary. I saw the power of kindness, understanding, compassion, and I never cease to be amazed by this.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, that you celebrate or not the holiday season, I hope you and everyone you love are happy and healthy, as we begin a new year. I look forward to seeing what 2011 will bring.

Brihana Davidson, Manager of Media Design

This year was a real adventure. I was unemployed for over 6 months, I changed careers, and I met an extraordinary group of people who asked me not only to help credit st a charity international, but also (for reasons I do not understand sometimes) see me as a friend. My life has changed so much this year, and although it was sometimes difficult, I know it was to be better. I was personally blessed by so many examples of kindness and beauty from around the world through this association. May your holidays be blessed with love and kindness. I send you, and your family my best wishes for peace and joy for the new year.

Jennifer Hummel, Co Treasurer

At the same time last year, I finished my candidacy for the post of Treasurer to MinionStimilus in which I provided to Misha that I could count to 10, and I put it in the mail. If I knew what I was getting into why, I'll probably put one billion instead of 10.

Random Acts has become at least a billion times more than I expected. And by "more", I mean "everything": more highlights, more goals, more inspiration, more rewards, more importantly, both worldwide and in my life. Of course "more work" applies too, but I'm always grateful for the chance to do so. So here I am, to thank everyone who took part in Random Acts, in any manner whatsoever, the founders to all the people sitting in their armchairs reading this message. You are the thanks in my book.

Tracy Liu, CO Treasurer

2010 was an incredible year! I hope you all remember this year with hope and joy.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Bodhi Day, Winter Solstice or Chocolate Day (December 28, hallelujah!) Enjoy your Fê thy!

Year's resolutions for the new year

First: All the best for 2011. Let it be the year in which your dreams realized. I strongly believe in good Vörsätze for the new Year. The beginning of a new year is a good time to reflect on his past behavior, about the current situation and plans for the future. I try to take good Vorsärte and over again to think of those less fortunate than me.

So sad that may be, in January 2011, probably can not meet all your desires, dreams and expectations. Who has not been launched with a series of good intentions in the year? Of the well-known resolutions, such as quitting smoking or regular exercise, to the extreme, how to change profession (less money - to do something significant), most of these promises are broken in the first days of the new year again. His good intentions do not comply, the age limit and is something more comprehensive. Something that practically all common resolutions on the need to change anything on your own behavior. Whether you spend more time with the family (that is, to plan better), or quit smoking (ie, not a cigarette to light), one must break old habits. But how to make the best, this is a question that employs behavioral scientists for many years.

Why does it not just this year a little less complicated? Let yourself but this time help from the wonders of modernenn technology (rather than let them steal your precious leisure time, should you prefer to spend much more important things).

second Be aware

To a great person to be it takes time and effort. Help yourself and worried you a birthday calendar. So you missed a birthday, holiday or other special day, and more can all the cards, emails, SMS messages, send flowers and gifts on time. Google ensures some great memories services in your native language. And remember: Keep your promise to greet people you meet, and buys flowers from time to time.

third Connects to maintain your social networks

Social networks takes time. Why do not you connect your accounts together? For example, I have linked my Twitter with my Facebook and LinkedIn. With a program like Tweetdeck can then all connected Displayed by a central administrator.

4th Be kind and believe in yourself and others

The Internet is a great medium for the sorts of people. What some think is great is unbearable for others. In real life there are people who go against the grain and an even those very urgently need help. Do not hate, do not be offended, take no revenge, no do not be disrespectful, harassing toddles, and not spamming. Think about Karma and the right to an opinion and believe in your own good nature and those of others.

5th Do what

Why not help other people? I've always had the highest Respect for the work of firefighters, nurses, cleaners and the police. I'm not saying that you should immediately go to work, but I beg that you look around you sometimes. Look around and take the true problems of others. Why not just help? Maybe you could even organize a random act. ;)

Happy new year and is fantastic!

Happy New Year

Hey Everybody!

I wish you all a wonderful new year. May you be blessed with love, health, joy and kindness.
I hope you had a beautiful holiday and you are now ready to rock with us!
As the Winter Acts were performed few weeks ago, it's time to think about the next round, so if you have a great idea that could make someone's life better, get ready to submit it (I don't know the exact date for submissions, but it's in January). I really hope that Region 8 will be representated this time, because I know our region is full of wonderful supporters ready to their best to conquer the world one act of kindness at a time.

I will post again as soon as we have more details about the Spring acts, but start to think about it:) xoxo
